Publishing works differently. To publish on Bookween, a member must first be approved in at least one recognized Bookween verification category.

This creates an important distinction: joining Bookween is open. Publishing on Bookween is earned.

Verification gives context

Bookween does not rely on one generic verification checkmark. Verification tells readers why a person has been verified.

A member may be verified as an:

Verification cannot simply be purchased. A verification badge also does not mean Bookween endorses every statement or opinion made by that member. It means the member has been reviewed for the category represented by the badge.

Bookween is intentionally a long-form platform. We want writers to develop ideas rather than compress everything into a few sentences designed to win a moment of attention.

Current publishing standards require substantial written content, alongside quality, originality, and platform standards.

The purpose is not to make writing unnecessarily long. The purpose is to create an environment where publishing requires thought, effort, and substance.

Bookween may use automated systems and human review to help identify content that violates platform rules. Where pre-publication moderation applies, content can remain private while required checks are completed.
