Bookween policy

Advertising & Sponsored Content Policy

Last updated: 24 August 2026

Bookween may support advertising, sponsorship, promoted content, or other commercial formats as the platform evolves.

Commercial content should not undermine Bookween's trust model.

Clear Identification

Paid advertising, promoted posts, and sponsored content must be clearly distinguishable from ordinary editorial content. Users should not have to guess whether something is paid promotion.

Verification Cannot Be Purchased

Advertising spend, sponsorship, payment, partnership, subscription, or commercial relationship does not guarantee Bookween verification. Verification decisions follow the Verification Policy.

Sponsored Publisher Content

Where publishers receive compensation or another material benefit for promoting a product, service, organization, or campaign, appropriate disclosure may be required.

Advertising and Editorial Integrity

Advertisers do not receive the right to control independent Bookween verification or moderation decisions merely because they advertise on the platform.

Restricted Advertising

Bookween may restrict or prohibit advertisements or sponsored content involving categories that conflict with platform safety requirements, applicable law, advertiser-platform policies, or Bookween standards.

User Safety

Advertising must not be deliberately deceptive, fraudulent, malicious, or designed to trick users into unsafe actions.

Privacy

Advertising-related data processing must follow the Privacy Policy. Private messages and private verification evidence are not made available to advertisers merely because advertising is shown on Bookween.

Quality

Bookween may limit ad frequency or placement to protect reading quality and avoid overwhelming long-form content. Advertising should support the platform without turning the reading experience into an attention trap.

Sponsored Content and Publishing Standards

Sponsored articles remain subject to Community Guidelines, Content & Publishing Standards, and Moderation Policy.

Commercial content should be visible as commercial content. Trust should never depend on guessing.
